This skilled mechanical droid allowed R2D2 to reprogram its motivator to explode so that R2D2 could carry out its orders from princess Leia. This motivator malfuntion allowed R2D2 and C3P0 to remain together. R5D4 was later repaired and sold to another moisture farmer.
