Princess Leia Organa's consular ship, it was owned by the Royal house of Alderaan and was used for Imperial senate business, as well as covert Rebel alliance activities. The ship was captured in the Tantooine system by Darth Vader's ship Devastator shortly after the princess's ship had intercepted the tactnical plans for the orginal Death Star battle station.
